Field Trial

Field trials are a competitive sport for dogs and their handlers. A field trial demonstrates the performance of a properly trained spaniel in the field.

Hunt Test

Hunting tests are designed to evaluate your dog by testing them against a standard. Your dog must show the ability to respond to commands, flush, retrieve, wing and shot.

Working Test

Working tests are a certification by the ESSFTA. The intent of the test is a basic test of instincts and usefulness in the field and to encourage owners to train their English Springer Spaniels to a hunting companion level.
