Adopted 7/9/2000

Angel and Sweetie were found in April on the I-5 freeway in Portland, Oregon. They appear to be mother and daughter, probably 3 and 6 years old. They are a wonderful couple, dedicated to each other but still great with people. They love to get in laps, play with kids, and get along great with dogs and cats.
More than anything else, their foster family insisted that they be placed together. They were willing to hang on to the girls for as long as it took (secretly hoping that the "foster" would turn into adoption). But when a family called looking for a puppy, they were asked to look at our adoption pages. Angel and Sweetie now live on five acres on a river and have a ten year old girl to play with~

Abby is a two year old female with strong field breeding. She is AKC registered Her present owners have no time to train her. She has basic obedience, a great nose and has been worked on pheasant.S he goes hard in the field but can settle; not hyper. She has not been in the house much. She's great with other dogs and people. The owners felt she was going to waste with them.
We let some of the field trial people know about Abby, but her new owner found us on his own. He had trialed labs before, and within days, Abby was on a plane from Medford OR to Puyallup WA. This was a very quick placement!

Placed 6/30

Bo is a big boy who loves to be around people and hates to be left behind. His family has to travel for work, which made them feel bad and made Bo feel worse.

Happily, a new home for Alzheimer's patients is opening in Tacoma, WA. Bo is now their resident Springer, and will spend his days with plenty of family to love him.
The owners of the home say that Bo is a joy to them and to the patients!

Placed June 10, 2000

Cocoa came to us through the NW Rescue branch of ESRA. She lived in Alaska and had a fine hunting pedigree. When a family from Oregon called looking for a dog that could hunt, we helped connect them. Her new mom says that she got a haircut right away (this one's not very attractive :-) and "looks beautiful."

This rehoming took a lot of cooperation between many different agencies and people. Cocoa flew to her new home in early June.
