These are the first tries we had at an organized rescue effort. We learned a lot along the way!

Henry was a 4 year old l/w male. He was surrendered by his family which was moving back to California. No health or temperament problems, he's fine with older kids and with other dogs, too. Henry's new family reports that he needed to put on weight and had immediate treatment for fleas, but he settled in nicely. He's living the good life now, and we get updates every so often. |

Adopted 12/9/00 Maggie is a real treasure. She is from strong field-trial lines & her father has NFC/AFC titles. Maggie has been through obedience training, is a lover and a ball chaser extraordinaire. Her family has never hunted her. At three, she still has more "go" than they could provide for...so they looked hard for just the perfect home, one where she could have care and attention as well as "a job" that would use her many talents. Her new family will teach her to pheasant hunt. |

Annie is our Senior Cover-Girl. She is a VERY sweet, 10 year old l/w spayed female who REALLY needed somebody to love her and care for her. Her new family reports: "Annie is doing just fine- she is such an amazing dog- so good in the house[unless her stinky tennis ball should appear in which case she can whip up quite a storm] but also such a joy outside- she averages a good hour off-leash hike everyday during which time she runs almost nonstop with her little tail going and her keen nose to the ground- quite the hunter! it has turned out to be a perfect match-we are so happy with her and I think she is pleased with her new home." |
| Adopted 10/29/00 Shiloh found her new home before she could make it to the web page! When our team met her, they described her as a "Bubba"-- a big, mushy loving baby. Only 7 months old and pretty bouncy, she needed a home that could provide some training and where she wouldn't trip Grandma! We found that home in a hurry! Now she lives in Monroe, WA on 25 acres and still has kids and another dog to play with. |

However, the first adoptive home could not give her enough exercise without a fenced yard; walking isn't what a young Springer needs. So she's found her forever home in a family that has a fence. |

Adopted 8/25 Maggie went home to her forever family after a few weeks in foster care. She will be two years old in September. She is is a very loving dog. She gets along great with other dogs, and loves to play and chase. She is gentle and knows how to calm down. She settled in to her new home as if she'd always been there! What a good girl! |

Echo is now named Riley. A neutered male, he was pulled from a shelter by the folks who train Dogs for the Deaf, but he wasn't quite right for the job. He is still a sweet boy who loves people and other animals. He found a loving home in Corvallis, thanks to his new mom's persistence! Thanks, Nancy! Nancy has continued to work with rescue for the last six years! |

This is the prettiest picture we ever had of a rescue dog. Doogan's owner worked two jobs and he hated being alone. His new family found us on-line, sent in an application, and discovered a well-mannered, funny and loving new member of their family. He gets to run on the beach with his new mom and even has the grand kids to play with! We want to thank his previous owner for her patience and good sense in selecting the perfect place for Doogan! |
